Well whadda ya' know? Dell revealed from an interview with PC Plus that they might consider entering a dedicated gaming mobile device. Abizar Vakharia, head of gaming for Dell worldwide, said that releasing a gaming handheld was "definitely one that's on the radar screen". But he didn't spill any other details.

This news, coming from a company with successful experience with pocket PCs, under the accomplishments of their (discontinued?) Axim PDA series, would probably lead to a Windows-based gaming ultra mobile PC (UMPC), like the one from Averatec. If they do plan to go through with the idea, they no longer have to worry about the games: Windows Mobile or Windows Vista can play ordinary PC games.

We'll keep a close watch on more developments from the corporation that purchased AlienWare, for this could be a very interesting option for gamers on the go.
