Ever thought of taking Isaac's plasma cutter into an online match to see who's better at Dead Space's strategic dismemberment concept? If an Electronic Arts job listing is any indication, we may be able to find out once Dead Space 2 rolls around. The EA job listing mentions the need for a "Senior Online Level Designer" for the Dead Space franchise. Among the responsibilities laid out is to "work collaboratively with Creative Director and Online Producer to create extremely fun, satisfying and polished multiplayer levels." Hmm. Strategic dismemberment in multiplayer matches sounds totally awesome, but I can't quite wrap my head around how it would go. All that comes to mind is an image of people valiantly struggling to crawl their way to cover after their legs get blown off. Related articles: |

They better not mess up 1 player. It's an excellent idea but it would be better if the online portion is on another disc for the 360(seriously DVD9 killed most of the games this gen). The 1st game had enough backtracking as it was. They also need to stop selling different color of the same weapons and actually have real DLCs. Other than that the survival online play would be sick. Also make the game 2-3x harder the 1st was way too easy.

» I love multiplayer!
But it doesn't belong in every damn game. This just doesn't even sound like a good mix. They're just throwing it in for more sales because they know all the little 12-year old faux-hardcore kids will be like "ZXOMG Multehplaya ima buy it an pone sum n00bs kk"

Whats up with all the sequels and multiplayer?
Sure they (sometimes) improve the quality of the game after your finished with the story, but you would think they would have some original features in the online mode.
Its really hard to reinvent multi-player TDM like MW2 when its just remade like every other shooter (*cough* *cough* all EA Shooters)
