Visceral Games has a grand idea for gamers this holiday season: spend Christmas in hell! No, not literally, of course, and they don't mean having Christmas dinner with relatives you hate. It just so happens that the PS3 and Xbox 360 demos for Dante's Inferno will be released this December.

The game's demo, dubbed "Gates of Hell", includes the entire opening level and follows Dante's trek from the surface all the way down to hell. He also picks a fight with this guy along the way:

BILL DOOR, er, DEATH - Image 1

“The demo will give everyone some insight into how we are treating the story and a taste of the gameplay," said executive producer Jonathan Knight. "And with nine more circles of hell to explore once the game comes out in February, we are literally just scratching the surface.”

So will this be worth my purchase or will it be Bayonetta?

Both games look good - If you like Devil May Cry then Bayonetta is your game - Otherwise Dante's is your game - it all depends what you like - Buy one, beat it and trade it in and get the other one - plain simple! LOL

My problem is I'll buy both games and won't trade in either. That's what I did for Prototype and inFamous. I like Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden, so I'll probably end up getting both. I was just seeing if there was an overwhelming popularity for either game.
