» or, you could make your own emu

Stop complaining about how unhappy you are with beta 1. They're making this ***** for everyone free of charge speding their time, sweat, and tears.

Be happy with the release, support them, and don't complain. If you're unhappy with this, code your own emulator.

 » crashed

Well crashed on my favorite N64.
San Fransisco Rush 2049.
It hardly works on the computer though, so I don't blame anyone.

   Re: Tekkenlord - 2008-11-12
 » crashed and owned

If san francisco rush is truly your favorite N64 game then u have a bigger problem than the game crashing on emulators xDDDDDD

   Re: Metal Jody - 2008-11-12
 » dude

Rush 2049 crashed on all other releases too. i went 4 MPH and it froze up. really sucks. it runs very well on the computer. use PJ64. it may be your video card or something. i hope 2049 will work on Daedalus some day. i freakin love that game.

 » Improvement? Small, IMO

Mario 64 runs like a dream, I now think it is fully playable with the sound on, but still somewhat choppy, even with the frameskip on 1. Ocarina runs slightly better, but in the first forest, I'm averaging 7 FPS, which is unacceptable. A major code revision is needed to get me playing that. And the only other 64 game worth playing, GoldenEye, one of my favourite games, is about 4 FPS sound on in the first level. Same case as OOT.

Small improvements made. IMO, they should focus on the hardcore titles first, and later add compatibility.

But still, good work guys. You picked up the legacy quite well, let's just hope you don't go on an 11 month hiatus after Christmas, like the previous dev.

 » Thanks but no thanks.

Thanks for your acceptful criticism; we hear you strong and loud, sadly; I think we already knew about those issues, and notice this is a BETA, Nintendo did not walk up to our front lawns and just smack the source code to emulate it to perfection on the PSP, so if you think we're here to satisfy your desires, you are completely wrong. As for everyone else, thanks, the beta 2 is going to be intended to be a whole lot better, and i got the compilation issue i was having fixed, i can now compile the eboot and prx's. ^_^ And also; flagbearer, if you think the improvements were small, you're partially right, as more updates are being planned, and more bugs terminated, but if at all we aren't satisfying you, maybe you should grab the code and help out, as this isn't as easy as reading....its CODING.

 » awesome! i love it

Mario 64: runs great!!!

Goldeneye: i got to the Facility stage and i couldn't stand any more brutality of the laggy frames. lol.

Rush 2: almost full speed in practice mode.

Smash Bros: very impressed with the speed increase.

Zelda OoT: runs a bit better, but crashes when jumping into that web inside the deku tree. it's a good thing i have a savestate that loads me to the Hyrule Field. xD

GREAT WORK ON THIS, DUDES! A really awesome xmas gift. I really like the icon and background for the emulator. keep up the badass work, if y'all can. ,|--|

 » Smash bros

How many fps are you getting on smash bros?

   Re: ajnauron - 2008-11-13
» My own answer after testing

At least a consistent 30 FPS on frameskip 2 with one opponent, with disabled texture checking. If you set this to every frame it is still playable but you will notice slight lag. Smash bros and Mario Kart 64 are now technically fully playable.

» Request for Ms. Pac-man Maze Madness

Could the developers make DaedalusX64 compatible with Ms. Pac-man Maze Madness?

   Re: Metal Jody - 2008-11-13
 » smash bros

i get around 40 fps on frameskip 2. it really depends on how many players are in the game. like the multiple yoshi fights, that uses up too many frames, about 25 fps there.

 » Savestate needs work

i noticed using the savestate on mario that when i went back to load it..i wound up in a room unable to move or jump at all..he just stood there lookin around..you guys may wanna tackle that bug ,unless it was just a glitch..
maybe others can comment on if it works for them..
overall seems like progress has been made at least with the sound off...cheers to the day conkers bad fur day can be played :)

» No one likes a forum troll...

No one cares if you like it. Matter of fact, I kinda hope you get hit by a car and break both arms so you can't make posts like this anymore.

Either leave a compliment, contribut something constructive/helpful, or GTFO. KTHXBAI.

   Re: dragonracer900 - 2008-11-13
 » ..

Its a Work In Progress. It is a beta, get used to it. Why say negative comments. Do you think the devs will get anywhere by doing so. It will improve. But with people like you, you wont be satisfied with anything, and you will complain. Will that get you anywhere. No.

But its like what GLiTCH said, say something decent or get out.

 » Help for the devs

Is there anything that people of the general public can do to help take a little bit of the work load off your back?
Basic things that don't involve in-depth coding?
I messaged you this same question from my gmail acct. but I wanted to have a spot where everyone else could see it AND you guys could respond.

Let us know what type of work could be done and the lvl of technical expertise required to do said task.

   Re: m3rox - 2008-11-13
 » ^_^

The only thing the general public can do is maybe help with the look of the GUI/icons of games, and test rom compatibility.

The rest of the stuff the devs are doing.
   by GLiTCH - 2008-11-13
 » Testing roms?

Testing roms will help out? Hell I'll be on that like a fat kid on a cupcake.
Let me know. I've got the entire N64 rom library saved.
