Daedalus R14 update: New look, ready for new audio code - Image 1

StrmnNrmn, developer of Daedalus, has released yet another update to previous plans of accommodating Azimer's HLE audio code into the Media Engine for Daedalus R14. The homebrew developer has recently wrestled with the Media Engine and managed to get the audio upsampling (increasing the sampling rate for more defined audio) working flawlessly.

StrmnNrmn says that the process took longer this way, but the developer admits that going through with the meticulous coding is moulding the troubleshooting mindset for the integration and execution of Azimer's HLE audio code with the Media Engine. There are still issues to address when running the HLE code asynchronously with the Media Engine, and StrmnNrmn will be tackling them soon.

On the lighter side, the developer picked up BenHur's text rendering library which apparently uses the PSP's default font. StrmnNrmn may be keeping the new look for the Nintendo 64 homebrew emulator, and Daedalus R14's interface may be transformed to a more professional, eye-friendly affair (see image above).

Thanks to Seanpaul223 for the tip!

"I like the look, pretty minimalistic and definitely better than R13"

Nice english. "Minimalistic" isn't a word and you misspelled "definitely."

You ever hear of a word with two adjectival forms? Look up "minimalist." Means the same as your "minimalistic", no?

Congratulations. You have learned a little bit about those that write dictionaries -- they tend to follow popular culture and include all the misused words in their books when they become popular. Point in case? Look up "irregardless" and "e-mails." BOTH are ass-wrong, but you'll find them in the dictionary.

As for "definitely", yes, I did overlook it only because I'm so conditioned to seeing fools like you all misspell it.

Wow.....how pathetic are you.....i just love idiots that look for bad grammar to complain about....
You are so smart that all you do is search for mispelled words....you would think that someone with such godlike genius would have a little better things to deal with.....
Oh yeah and u criticize someone and are completely wrong too.....amazing.......WOWIEEE......

"Minimalistic" is a word, and that IS how you spell "definitely". Get a dictionary.

Yes, even this scientist says "takes on an unfamiliar, minimalistic structure"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHzdsFiBbFc

pwned! And if a scientist says something, then you know it's true! (Unless they try to disprove creationism... ah, those poor, naive noobs). Anyhow, firefox isn't flagging down the word "minimalistic" when I type it in, so that's further proof it's spelled correctly. Open source dictionaries are the best! :P (They ain't even flag down ain't because it knows that it's a real word)

 » Wait... creationism??

How old do you think the earth is?

   Re: iamback(unregistered) - 2007-11-27
 » eh....

I'd say a few hundred million years old. Why? Just because humans haven't been around that long doesn't mean that God didn't create Earth long before our advent...

It's the Christian point of view that "the earth is only 5000 years old". God never said that. Thus, I accept the existence of dinosaurs, and the world being really, really old (science says about 4.5 billion, right? I don't have a problem believing that).

Another skewed aspect is that "it took God 7 whole days to make the Earth, and then he had to take a breather..." Ok,

a. God made the Earth in a split second. Even if it's true that He took 7 days to do it, it's because he wanted to, not because he "had" to take that long.

b. 7 days... Right... And how is a "day" defined when the earth wasn't even made to orbit the sun yet?

c. God would not have to take a break. I think Christians underestimate God's abilities, and overestimate Jesus's capabilities.

But yeah, enough religious talks, I guess. It's only going to lead to another flame war.

the only poor, naive noob are you, believing in this ***** the christians are saying....
Get over it, GOD DOESN'T EXIST! There are enough proofs for that. Just one example: read the bible carefully, full of contradicts....
It was an invention to make money from idiots like you, thinking that paying money to "god" would make them holy and they would come to your so-called heaven....

But now to a more serious topic: Daedalus!
So when he transfers the audio to ME, it would mean that more power would be left for the graphics emulation, right?

GOD DOESN'T EXIST
but let people believe in him
people turn to "GOD" for faith and hope
so let them do so

@ silver tiger...

Learn to read. I was proving that the Christian point of view of God is skewed...

I don't think I'd be pointing out flaws in Christianity and the bible if I was one/ believed in it...

Sheesh.

 » God doesn't exist? huh?

Oh kay?,
Who has the power to make the Earth, the Sun,this hole Solar system?. Who created the first human beings?. Who created the first animals?. There is no way that God doesn't exist, can't you see that only one creature would have the power to create all this.

For people who believe there are many Gods.

If you and your brother had powers to everything you wanted. Won't you disagree on some point? and then obviously you will start an argument. Which would lead to a fight. Then it goes on and no one would agree AT any point. This prooves that there is only place for ONE GOD!, if there were 2 there wouldn't be a perfect world. Yes this world is perfect. The way it's made is the way it's meant to be. NO ONE ABSOLUTELY NO ONE has the power to change ALL of Earth. So, yes there is only one God.

I used to be just the same, I have realised that there IS only one God. God DOESN'T created everyone. He created the first humans, animals, fish(es), birds. Everything. Thats how he indirectly created us, as thats where we all come from.

Humans, are alot more special than animals, bird, etc. He gave humans the power to think. This is why, everyone is expected to use there brains instead of just saing there is no God. I feel like i'm tellling common sense.

This is not a flame it's speculations.

who ever thinks their belief is the best can take that and shove it up their a$$ for all i care. Or u can shut up about it and pretend to respect other's belief by not trying to make an a$$ out of yourself.

Bottom line there is no best religion.

To prove that we can have a world war slaughter through neighbors and contries. The last one standing will have to final word on who has the best religion

that's what is all comes down to period
