While Xbox 360 fans may have to wait a little longer (or a lot longer, forever even) for Halo the movie, DS fans may be having better luck with the movie version of the hit franchise Castlevania. The videogame-turned-movie project will be re-telling the classic Bram Stoker's Dracula starting from the story of Romanian prince Vlad the Impaler before he became a blood-sucker.

Like the Halo, the Castlevania movie project's development is far from smooth. Dimension Films dropped the movie after film director Paul W.S. Anderson's script left that company's executives' blood cold. The script, according to reports, takes place in various eras but most scenes will be in 15th century Transylvania.

Then Rogue Pictures agreed to team up with Paul W.S. Anderson and Crystal Sky Entertainment to bring Castlevania to the silver screen. The movie is expected to be an "action/horror project" similar to Underworld and Blade but with "a strong romantic element."
