The Belmont family tree is branching out, and this time Konami's famous vampire hunting brood is reaching out into the mobile gaming territory with the newest Castlevania title to date, Castlevania: Order of Shadows.

Taking the reins of the latest Castlevania adventure is Desmond, armed with the obligatory whips and stocked with the ever-ubiquitous Potions. Not much can be gleaned from the available screenshots as of the moment, but its safe to say that Order of Shadows is looking good for a mobile game. The game will feature 7 bosses and 13 unique enemies, unlockable difficulty settings, and 18 original soundtracks.

The castle mainstays are present in Order of Shadows, including the humongous Giant Ghosts, witches, as well as the Axe Knights. We can also tell in the screenshots that Order of Shadows pretty much retains the overall castle-crawling feel that is distinct in the Castlevania franchise.

Castlevania: Order of Shadows is scheduled to be released on September 18 for the mobile phones.
