CWcheat v0.1.5

Weltall has popped by our forums to announce the latest release of the Consoleworld CWCheat homebrew cheat device that works with most PSP games. If you find your PSP games to be too hard then this cheat system can help you without having to shell out any of your hard-earned cash for commercial cheat devices which, to be honest, are quite scarce for PSP games.

This update brings CWcheat up to version 0.1.5, adding many new optimizations and an easy way for you to implement multiple languages into CWcheat. Other new features include the ability to swap the O and X buttons as well as a smaller file size and a menu reorganization. Here's whats new since the last version:

[CORE PRX]
  • A lot of optimizations here and there gaining 7kb
  • Now you can translate CWCHEAT  into other languages(note cwcheat uses the classic printf font so you wont have chars like èò ect) NOTE: you must put the file with your translation here: ms0:/dh/cwcheat.lng
  • Now you can access the cheat selection menu directly from the game without opening the main menu
  • Button swap support added: now it's possible to confirm with O and abort with X if enabled, or have the same configuration taken from your firmware register files (emulated firmware)
  • Returned to gcc 4.0.2 : gcc 4.1.0 proved being highly unstable (and made prx with 2 more kb)
  • Now the diff search screen is cleared when searching
  • Fixed a bug in some games in which the button pressed while exiting from in game menu was passed to the game
  • Now the current value of a found address by searching is copied to the new cheat for all search type
  • Now you can change the address of a cheat by pressing L in the cheat modification menu
  • Main menu reorganized and a new config submenu
  • Not 4byte aligned 32bit constant write codes now works (usefull for condensing, performance is effected like with not 4byte aligned 32bit multi address write)
  • Now you can abort search by pressing O
[PACKAGE]
  • Included french (thanks to stark), English and Italian language files

Alright another update, however i think this is becoming useless because the new games it supports dont really interest me, but oh well. Good Work anyway

#2, Why dont you post something usefull instead of trying to get first post. I didnt even mention it because its pathetic for people to get on as quick as possible and yell "1st post" before even reading the article.

-Anyway, the optimizations in this are more important to me than the new game support. Its nice to see this update is mostly change in the core program.

your probably a first poster.. grow up, I don't think bill gates would come here and post"whooo im bill gates, im rich and i got first post, you all suck" I dont think any major league football player come here and post" whooo i play football and im rich and i got first post" infact.. anybody with a life wouldn't think getting first post here is that important... why is gettng first post a good thing anywyas? just prove you dont have a life even more... stuck on qj everyday looking for new articles so you can gain the "first post"...

yes it's designed to work with devhook

>>blackhowling
are you sure that you don't have a double install?
plus it seems that the dax plugin isn't working rightly because not only cwcheat doesn't work when loading dax files but also other application which reads from file at boot up (try pressing R during boot up: from when you see psp to when you see the game)

 » Hi

Hi it's really cool how people help others out here (cept 2 or 4) I downloaded this and I beleive you have to write your own cheats. please correct me if I'm wrong. I am not a coder at all so I was wondering if there was a place where I could just download a cheat and add it or somthing like that. Thnx in advance

» Wanted more than what you have now...

Hi weltall,

Perhaps, I am a bit demanding.....realised after using the code searcher. I found that I must add the newly code line in memory in order to test the cheat code. I ended up with many non-valid code lines. How's about adding an option to remove unwanted code line? The other area (that is a must to have) is to implement a save option to save the newly found cheat code in the cheat code file, or else whatever newly found codes have to manually re-enter again.

So .... I am looking towards a perfect version :)

Well done again.
