CFW 3.52 M33 available now - Image 1Team M33 does service to the homebrew scene once more as it just released a new build for its custom firmware, completely cracking Sony's official PSP FW 3.52. Aside from the improvements that come with CFW 3.52 M33, all features from previous releases have been incorporated as well.

We know you just can't wait to see the latest development for yourselves but before you do, here's the complete changelog for the new custom firmware:

  • Now uses 3.52!!!
  • M33 NO-UMD: fixed problem with Simple 2500 Series Portable, The IQ Cube
  • Fix a bug which made Go!Cam, GPS and sceKernelLoadExecVSH* not work in game mode.
  • PSN downloaded PSX games support wasn't working in 3.51 M33 (didn't work in latest OE's either). Now it is working again. If an original PSN game still doesn't work, we recommend to delete files KEYS.BIN if exists, and copy the game again from PS3 to PSP.
Please take note that CFW 3.52 M33 comes with a Readme file. We don't have to reiterate how important for you guys to read that first before installing this on your PlayStation Portable units.

A lot of QJ.NET loyal readers sent us tip regarding this one. And by saying a lot, we really mean a lot. Thanks for the heads up everyone!

I followed all DA's works and currently using 3.30 OE-A. I didn't installed 3.51 M33 on my PSP as I wanted to see first the feedback from users. Now that I see this is a real deal, I want to install. I want to ask about the recovery of this CFW. can I still use the same recovery used for OE versions? - or do I need another different recovery? Please reply.

What if he had read what you said and Perm-bricked?

Did you install custom tops?

it requires flashing another file back to your system that got corrupted in the install. check the forums not the blogs, for your answers.

 » indeed

the article was up and ready for some hours now. however, due to severe server issues we've been having for the most part of the day, we couldn't post it right on. we'd love to give the news fresh off the oven for you guys, but when the intarweb gods are against us, there's not much we can do, really.

apologies.

calm down. if you dont like this site go away. i love the news it provides 24/7 for free unlike gamespot (premium) etc

Ooh HOURS. God man get a grip. If it were a day or two I can see your b!tchin but hours? Go shove it, geez... and didn't you also see today the "Please come back later" screens when refreshing? If you didn't, then it's not like you would've had the FW that much faster then, if you weren't checking before.

DAX was suffering from a rare disorder called "I'm a ****in' ***** who can't do SH** except screw others over and desert the homebrew scene. BTW, here is a LEGIT confession from him:

"I stole all of my programs and cfws from other devs...in exchange for sexual services..."

And you wonder why he left... because *****s like you who "like" someone only when he gives you something for free.

   Re: pimbong (Unregistered) - 2007-07-26
» the only reason that happended

is because most of the ones he worked on went up .10 meaning they usally had to get a new decrypter. then he would take maybe 5 days exept for on 3.50 everything was canged so he couldnt do it befor he left

Hey team M33 (if your reading this), how much would I have to donate for you guys to make in your next firmware the update icon on the XMB map to the your next M33 update firmware instead of Sony's. I'll pay and I'm sure a lot of us will.

   Re: . (Unregistered) - 2007-07-26
 » .

that would be sweet, but theres a problem: in order for you to be able to install the latest CFW, you need the official updates from sony. M33 cant distribute those legally. good idea, but its illegal (like isos). M33 would still appreciate the money though.

   Re: $ (Unregistered) - 2007-07-26
 » it could be done

to make it legal the official firmware could still be downloaded from sony then merged with 1.5 and then installed. it would be a few dozen lines of code in the processing section of the update icon action.

   Re: zetsurin (Unregistered) - 2007-07-26
 » lovely

Yeah, great idea. Let's all pay the hackers and just download the ISOs. Let's not pay the ACTUAL guys who make the PSP so great - the game devs. Anyone donating that kind of money to a bunch of crooked russians is a goddamn retard!

   Re: vitz3 (Unregistered) - 2007-07-26
 » lol

just for that, I'm donating another $50!!

let's be honest here, most PSP games are utter crap, just plain garbage. If they can't make a decent game then the devs deserve to lose money.

plain and simple

The PSP is capable of great games

   Re: Ninja2507 (Unregistered) - 2007-07-26
 » Very generous

If I had the extra money, I would donate for sure. Thanks for keeping the psp homebrew scene alive M33. AND THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS FOR FREE AND ONLY TO BENEFIT OTHERS AND NOT JUST YOURSELF.

to metalspector and zetsurin: Just cause it runs isos, doesn't mean
