Blizzard vs WoWGlider - Image 1

Impatience has always been the issue with bots over at World of Warcraft. Some have time to play, while some have none - but still want their characters to keep playing. While the bot debate rages on, it seems the impatience issue has ascended to the level of lawsuits. Blizzard and the  creator of bot program WowGlider have filed new motions only a year after they sued each other.

Blizzard filed a case against MDY Industries, the company responsible for WoWGlider, for infringing their intellectual properties. Not to be outdone, WoWGlider programmer Michael Donnelly filed a suit of his own, insisting their right to run third party tools. Now, with the case dragging on, both are seeking summary judgment from the U.S. District Court.

What is summary judgment, you may ask? It is a court decision without a full trial. Bottom line is both are still in a standstill and no one's letting up. Seeing as Blizzard argues that WoWGlider has sold US$ 2.8 million of bots, this is some bad blood that won't go away easily.

For the courtroom jargon-savvy, the actual motions can be found over at the via link. Updates as we get them.
