WoW TCG Artbook scheduled for 2008 release - Image 1Blizzard and Upper Deck Entertainment recently announced that they would be releasing an art book for the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game come January 2008. Called "World of Warcraft: The Art of the Trading Card Game," the book will feature nearly 300 pages of great art from the trading card game.

The art book will feature art from notable artists, such as Todd McFarlane (Spawn), Greg Staples (Judge Dredd), Marcelo Vignali (Disney Animation), and Todd Lockwood (Forgotten Realms).

According to Tim Muret, Vice President of Upper Deck Authenticated, "World of Warcraft is a global phenomenon that boasts a large base of people who not only actively play the online game and TCG, but who also really enjoy the artwork in the games. We wanted to release a book for these players as well as celebrate the great work of these artists."

Hopefully, that means we'll be seeing a proper depiction of Leeroy Jenkins on the final book, just because he's awesome like that. In any event, expect January 2008 to be an interesting month for TCG and WoW fans alike as the coffeetable book makes its presence known.
