Super Mario Galaxy's broken street date - Image 1

GameFAQs members have been reporting on the forums that a number of Best Buy locations have broken the street date for Super Mario Galaxy, selling the game early to eager gamers in their area.

While we were at first skeptical about the news, more and more people have confirmed the report that Best Buy has broken the Super Mario Galaxy street date. Furthermore, GoNintendo has confirmed the report with a special picture.

As you can see in the picture, GoNintendo reader Daniel has shown off his sweet prize, a copy of the game. While it's hard to read the receipt though, you can make out the "Best Buy" words on top of the receipt if you try hard enough. In any event, you may want to call your nearby Best Buy stores to check on the availability of the game. You may just get lucky!

The Wii needs all the help it can. Since this is the only decent game for the next year, it may sell a few more consoles.
