For many a gamer, the name Benjamin Heckendorn (Ben Heck) has become synonymous with some of the more fascinating mod attempts done with Microsoft's Xbox 360 console. Now, in case you're wondering what Ben Heck's been up to lately, we're letting you know that he's finished work on a laptop version of the 360 Elite.

Ben Heck explained that this attempt was different from his last 360-laptop mod in that he had to do some considerable rearranging for this current project's insides. For example, the DVD drive for this unit was moved to the right, and the motherboard was rotated 90 degrees.

It wasn't just the internal components that got a makeover - the modder gave this unit an internal Xbox Live Vision camera (as requested by the ordering customer), and a Halo 3-themed outer shell.

We've managed to pick up a demo video of this 360 Elite laptop in case you're wondering how it runs. Those interested in viewing Ben Heck's full construction details will want to visit his site via the source link.
