Assassin's Creed - Image 1

Just how much do you want Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed? Bad enough? How would you like a Limited Edition copy?

IGN found that Assassin's Creed (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC) will have a Limited Edition version. It won't be any different from the normal version of the game, but it does come with extra goodies that should be worth an additional US$ 10. For one thing, the Assassin's Creed Limited Edition will come in specialized tin packaging. Inside, you'll be getting a figurine of main man Altair, some Penny Arcade comics, a mini-strategy guide, behind-the-scenes videos, interviews, trailers plus some Assassin's Creed short films.

So far, there haven't been any announcements as to the release of the LE except for a vague "later this year". Reportedly, the Assassin's Creed Limited Edition will ship for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and will retail at US$ 69.99 while the standard edition will go at US$ 59.99.

Will we be seeing queues come release date? Maybe placing a pre-order would be the best way to go. Anyway, we'll keep our eyes peeled for any release date announcements.

The limited edition (including parts of the content - I specifficaly remember the figurine) was announced quite some time ago. I had a preorder on it through lik-sang before sony forced them to close.

Take it easy - I wasn't trying to complain or anything. Just wanted to add that this was announced some time ago (which it was). Can't see the harm in that...

I like Limited Editions, but they are really gonna strain my budget this year. $130 for Halo 3 + $90 for GTA IV + $70-$90 for Assassin's Creed = yikes

with the prices of games these days, doesn't it make you want a mod chip? just imagine there are 10 wicked sick games at a SUPER CHEAP PRICE of $50!!!11!1!

Even at $50 each, in total that's $500 big ones. Or you could just go down to the market and pick all 10 games up for $5 each, in total $50. 10 games for the price of one? Hmmm, what deal is better?

It's wrong but... What will make sales better for games?

1. Sell games at around $80, less people will buy. Only the hardcore fans would buy.

2. Sell games at $30. Sure, you will need to sell 3 copy's to earn as much as 1 copy at $80 but more people will be happy with the price and perhaps more people will buy?

But a game like this will cost alot but still get alot of sales.

=D

What do you mean, "go down to the market and pick all 10 games up for $5 each, in total $50"? I'm not going to some foreign country just to pick up illegal games cheap, that'd bring the overall cost even higher than $500.
