When was the last time you played with crayons? Or wooden blocks? While some of you might think that it's all child's play, Echochrome from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) might just change your mind.

We've got another video tutorial for OLE or Object Locative Environment from the upcoming video game for the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3. Honestly, after watching the video, this writer thought that Echochrome is all about perspective. Why? In the video, we see just black and white blocks. Then we are shown just how players would be able to manipulate the blocks and how to put a splash of color on them. In the end, the blocks tumble down on the floor quite unceremoniously.

We don't get it either, but it sure is relaxing to watch. Stay tuned for more news and info about Echochrome. In the meantime, check out the video.

WOW - you can actually get something THAT GOOD on the PS3? It must really push the hardware to the limit! I knew the PS3 was good - but not that good!
I would get it for the PSP, but I would be too afraid that it would fry the motherboard or something - surely this is a hoax as something that advanced couldn't fit on a little old handheld?

 » Tech demo for

This seems to be like a technical demo of the things you can do with Echochrome. These are probably some things you can do with the editor that will hopefully ship with the game.

Remeöber this title will be a PSN downloadable item for PS3, meaning probably $5-10 for the PS3 version, though the PSP version would be a full priced game.

 » say what

Echochrome is an actual game with a little dude running around and everything, but this is just something extra in the game. It could be part of the level editor.
