The title probably says it all - and I would rather not touch this subject with a 20-foot pole lest I get personally flamed for reporting what someone else said. But report I must. So let's just have all those quotes hang out to dry, now shall we? Jesse Divnich of Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR) is forecasting that for this year's holiday season, the PS3 might be bowing down to the Xbox 360, while the Nintendo Wii need not worry about anything at all. His forescasts seem to hinge on the fact that the Xbox 360 is getting a price cut - which, by the way, he previously predicted (see related articles below) and turned out to be right on the money. His suggestion right now is that Sony might want to opt for a price cut too, so that they could stay competitive for the holidays. Speaking to Edge, Jesse Divnich said the following: [Between Sony and Nintendo,] Sony should be the most concerned [about the 360's price cut]. Going into this holiday season, the PS3 will not only have the highest price point, but also the smallest software library, weaker line-up of exclusive titles (compared to Xbox 360’s Gears of War 2 and Fable 2), and a less popular online network. I suspect that the reason why Sony has been so adamant about maintaining its current price point is because it has not reached a more efficient scale in its manufacturing of the PS3. Long-term, I don't think anyone doubts the success of the PS3, however it is currently looking like the Xbox 360 will win another holiday season against the PS3 in North America. While Sony and Microsoft seem to be keeping up the pace with each other, Divnich also commented on the third console, the Nintendo Wii. Nintendo need not worry about Microsoft, or anyone else for that matter. Nintendo will always be its own worst enemy (in terms of keeping up with demand). Nintendo has so much wiggle room on the Wii’s pricing that they will never be afraid of a competitor trying to use price as a differentiating feature. If they ever felt threatened, they could drop the Wii down to $149 and destroy a competitors momentum. But in this particular case, Nintendo won’t feel too threatened by an Xbox 360 price drop. With the price drop this is somewhat understandable. 360 sales will get a boost this holiday season. Familys on a budget will sway toward the 360 over the PS3.
However, even though the 360 has a cheaper version then the Wii, the Wii will still KICK the 360's ASS!!!!

yes, it is a port since the ps3 version will be completed in japanese first and then they will work on porting and localization after that. thanks M$, now i have to wait a year for my game just so you can get a crappy version on 4 disk.

How can you say XBL is a premium service? Most of the game that actually uses the online service is shooting games. So why not use the online to play for free instead? Don't say it has better server or lag free, that's just bull*****. I tried XBL and it didn't have anything better than the PSN beside that chatting thingy.

When fans of the PS3 lash out against this article, and believe me they will, there is something that you all should realize. B*tching and moaning doesn't win console wars.
Be the bigger man and ignore your rivals. They cannot stand to hear anything regarding the Xbox winning. Haters will comment, whiners will whine, and flamers will flame. If one truly believes that their console is better, they do not need to prove it.
However, Xbox fans are guilty of this as well. Stop feeling like you need to defend our console. We will win, I promise. Knowing the truth will keep you content.
Just take a seat, hold your guide-button, and when that logo appears on screen tell yourself this: We don't have a damn thing to worry about.
