An Assassin's Creed movie/TV series in the future?

A lot of developers and publishers seem to be convinced of the superior quality of their games, but Ubisoft appear to be on top when it comes to that -- with Assassin's Creed that is. Last month Ubisoft updated their trademark of the game, along with the following description:

'Entertainment services namely television action series and the production of motion pictures'

It looks like Ubisoft wants to use the name or even the concept of Assassin's Creed for more uses than just games, namely TV shows and movies. This could mean that they're really dead serious on trying to make this a huge franchise. If so, this could only spell a better future for the game as a movie or TV branch-out could only translate to future installments and developments. Considering how rich the lore and mystery behind Altair - his missions and overall existence - is, tons of plots and story angles can be delved into. Let's wait and see.

Hopefully it's a good movie. I cant see the halo movie working because it would seem too nerdy if it was an all cgi movie and it would seem too corny if it was some dude dressed up in a master cheif costume.
