Getting used to the four-player multiplayer modes in most multiplayer-capable PSP games? Prepare to expand your horizons, then. SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 is continuing the series' 16-player multiplayer firefights.

As revealed by a new post on the US PlayStation blog, these multiplayer matches take place across eight custom maps. The game also features seven new gameplay modes each with its own different objectives.

There's one called "Leader Mode" that has players designating a squad leader that they can spawn beside to make reaching the objectives a tad easier. There's also a "Tug-of-War" mode where players can drain points from enemies to collect tickets.

Fireteam Bravo 3 supports both ad-hoc and infrastructure multiplayer. Since we're still a bit far from the game's January 12 release, here are a few screenshots to tide you over.

The more the merrier. I just hope it doesn't lag due to number of players.

/6 goes on about how they made the HUD less intrusive "and blend into the game" to "create a more immersive experience for the player" and they make this ugly kill-list with this ugly HUD.

Graphics suck too. I know someone's going to argue with me, but look at them. Lighting is nonexistent, so everything's bright and it looks cartoony because colors, brightness and explosions. (look at the grenade explosion in the first picture.)

Gfx is ugly and I hate that, when devs get lazy and use friggin ps1 engine resulting in games looking like crap.
This is nowhere close to moh:h2 gfx

Common sense, you see your player model 100% of time on your screen, why they didnt make better texture for them? -.-
(good example of this are MGS PO's face textures)

rofl @ rocket launcher whoring in first screen

Agreed. I was playing MoH:H2 and started getting into it since there weren't any hackers (luckily) and I noticed how great the graphics were for a PSP. The textures were smooth, the models were great and there were even nice lighting effects like shadows and bloom.

Lmao @ guy committing suicide in first picture...wonder how that'll work.

slant 6 is horrible. This makes FTB2 look like the new one. I hope this is fake because it seems like a step back.
