At just 0.5-inch thick, it is.
But it isn't just its dimensions that make the Motorola Q noteworthy, it's also its design and it's many features.
The first thing one will notice about the Q other than its QWERTY keyboard is the good placement of its other buttons. On the right edge is the 3-way scroll wheel and a back button . On the opposite edge though, only the USB port, memory card slot and IR port are present.
Just below the display is the Q's 5-way d-pad controller, green and red call buttons, and the back and home buttons. The d-pad is slightly raised so it's easier to use it, though the center select button sometimes doesn't register right away when used. One has to apply too much pressure on the QWERTY keypad to activate it, but numbers and special characters can easily be accessed with the Alt key just under the A button.
As the Motorola Q weighs only 122 grams (4.3oz) and is very nicely designed, it's easy and convenient to place it in one's pocket.
This device also has powerful multimedia capabilities. The Motorola Q has a 1.3-megapixel camera at the back although this doesn't take pictures with good quality. It also has a 320x240 QVGA display capable of 65,000 colors.
We're not sure about you folks, but this phone's got our vote. Click below for MobileBurn's hands-on review of the Q (lucky fellows!).
