God of War on the PSP! - Image 1 God of War on the PSP! - Image 2

There was certainly no way in Hades we couldn't cover this specially made PSP. For the most part, it's because we got a couple of tips on it. Also, there's the lovely little bit about it being for charity, so we couldn't help but say, "Yes, we'll cover it!"

What are we talking about, folks? Well, there's a special PSP auction being held right now, with the prize of the auction being a specially modded God of War-styled PSP. As you can see from the above pictures, the entire thing has been decked out in Kratosian awesomeness with hand-sculpted war dogs and omega symbol on the back, and an interchangeable custom faceplate for the front.

The best part of this darling PSP is the auction itself. Fifteen percent of the final sale price will end up getting donated to Child's Play, a nonprofit organization that specializes in donating toys and video games to children's hospitals worldwide.

Currently, the auction is at US$ 1,225, so you can definitely say that it's getting a lot of buzz. In any case, if you want to see a full description, as well as more pictures of the actual PlayStation Portable, feel free to visit the Via link below.

Thanks to Jeremy, PSP Nikos, Keith and psphackman for the tips!

It looks kind of cool, but I think those aardvark's on the back might get in the way when holding it.

   Re: akuma2099 - 2007-07-25
 » kinda neat

Yea they look kinda uncomfortable to hold, plus I wonder how long the paint will last?

P.S I thought they looked like armadillos :)

 » Not very charitable...

Although whoever decked out this PSP deserves to gain recognition and profit off this PSP I would not call him very charitable since he will be walking away with thousands of dollars and only donating a small portion of it.

I just love when news stories talk about "charitable" events where the person is giving money to a charity from auction of an item. They always look past the crummy % they are sending to charity. 15% of over $1k? really generous guy...riiiiight....

   by ... (Unregistered) - 2007-07-25
 » over 1k

the thing says the auction starts at 1k by the time it is sold it will be paid like 10k or more that psp looks awesome

 » nice stuff

I gotta say this is one of the coolest looking psp's I've ever seen. Although it would of been cool if they made a wrist strap out of chain for it!!

people talk about how he should give more, but i seriously doubt any of you in his position would think of giving and money to charity, let alone 15%

 » Not Too Good...

Looks normal, not really sumting u wud fuss over with...

i would prefer the PSP2 over that made by SONY ERICSON..

The 15% is a gimmick. It's there so people will go "Oh, well it's fora good cause" and be willing to spend more; more than making up for the 15%.
