Memory Stick - Image 1More storage for Sony's Playstation Portable is always, and we mean always, a good thing for those who enjoy using homebrew or downloading PS1 games from the Sony store. If you're looking to grab more memory sticks for your handheld, it might be food to know that Frys.com is having a sale on memory sticks.

According to their website, the 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo Platinum II Lexar is going for US$ 34.99. That's not a bad deal considering memory sticks of that sort generally cost around US$ 50 or higher.

In case you want to find out more about this deal, head on over to Frys.com by clicking on our Source Link below.

A lot of lexar sticks don't load plugins for custom firmware - you have been warned!

Better off getting a sandisk..!

 » Yep.

The Lexar sticks are very slow and don't read fast enough to load the PRXs in the short time window that PRXs must be loaded.

If you're going to get a 4GB memory stick, get a Sandisk.

Yes, lexar cards DO NOT allow firmware plug-ins to work...i'm not sure why...

 » I agree

They don't work with plugins as the memory stick start-up area is bigger and the PSP cannot load the list fast enough. You can see the same thing if you try to transfer a lot of TXT files to a Lexar stick, it takes much longer to transfer than to a Sandisk or even a Sony stick.

Same thing with the space, there is about 10MB less space than in Sandisk's sticks.
